During the heyday of the Space Invaders game, he took the world by storm with his manga "Game Center Arashi," and later explained programming in an easy-to-understand way with his manga "Hello Microcomputer." Many readers in their 40s who work in the IT industry say that his work was one of the factors that determined their own lives.
In 2005, at the age of 54, he enrolled in the Waseda University Faculty of Human Sciences correspondence course (hereafter referred to as e-school). In 2011, he completed his master's degree at the Graduate School of Human Sciences at the same university. In 2012, he became a part-time lecturer at the Kyoto Seika University Faculty of Manga, and in 2013, he became a full-time instructor in the faculty's Character Design course. In the same year, he became a professor in the Character Design course at the Kyoto Seika University Faculty of Manga, Manga Department.

He aims to research and popularize BodySharing, which transmits tactile and physical sensations from a computer to a human in VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality).

Selected as a Nice Step Researcher in the Nikkei Business 100 People Who Will Shape the Next Generation and Make Outstanding Contributions to Science and Technology 2016
In 2017, she was appointed as an Ambassador for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' WINDS (Women's Initiative for Developing Science and Technology Careers).
Winner of the 2018 Rocky Challenge Award. Selected as one of the "Japanese Women Playing an Active Role Around the World" by the American magazine Newsweek. Currently an associate professor at the Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University. Called a future Nobel Prize candidate.
