Activities of Society members
director
Directors are appointed by those who sympathize with the Society's aims, are recommended by the other directors, are approved at the General Board of Directors Meeting, and hold pseudo shares worth 100,000 yen.
Directors attend monthly General Board of Directors meetings and are able to participate in proposals and resolutions for the management of the Japan E-Commerce Society.
When a director resigns from their position, the 100,000 yen will be refunded by the Society.
Standing Director
The directors approved by the board of directors as standing directors who will be responsible for the operation and execution of the Japan E-Commerce Society will become standing directors.
They will be in charge of the budget and execute the Japan E-Commerce Society's operational KPIs of 100 researchers, the quarterly publication of the society journal, monthly regular meetings, support for the holding of research subcommittees, and an annual symposium.
Secretariat
Managing society members, society fees, and support for each department.
Updating the website, managing Facebook, and managing customer acquisition through advertising, etc.
Editorial Committee
Sympathize with the aims of the Society, read and understand the journal's quarterly publication, and actively support its publication.
Also select and recommend presenters of papers, and are responsible for the content of the journal's publication.
Research Committee Members
Members are required to sympathize with the society's aims, have their own laboratories, publish papers in the society's journals, and read papers written by other members. Researchers from universities across the country, as well as engineers, belong to at least one of the subcommittees.
Currently, the Research Department has the following subcommittee groups, which meet regularly every month. The number of subcommittees will increase or decrease depending on the research content. Papers on the results of research will be published as academic papers and published in the society's journals.
KPI members are required to submit a paper at least once a year. At least two researchers will be introduced.
▶ Deep Learning Subcommittee
Since implementing and executing deep learning is quite a high hurdle, data from multiple B members will be shared and multiple researchers will work together to conduct research and present their results.
▶ Open Source Subcommittee
Research into open source EC systems and present the results.
▶ Database and Security Subcommittee
Research subcommittee for large-scale sites. Although it is a very costly field, researchers will pool their knowledge and conduct effective research and presentations.
Business Group Regional Promotion Section Branch Member
We are sympathetic to the aims of the society, and hold regular meetings at branches nationwide, attract members from branches, acquire members, arrange venues for regular meetings, hold seminars, hold presentations of research results by branch members, and report on progress in the lab.
We can provide business data to researchers as data for papers, and develop new products for our company. The contents of the seminars will be published as JASEC society papers in the society journal.
KPI Organize 100 members in Kanto, 50 in Kansai, 15 in Hokkaido, 10 in Tohoku, 10 in Chubu Tokai, 10 in Chubu Shikoku, and 15 in Kyushu and Okinawa.
KPI Approach, introduce, and follow up with researchers from at least three neighboring universities.
Coordination Committee Member
Sympathizing with the purpose of the society, he handles reception, management, and direction of the JASEC lab. He explains the specialized knowledge and processes of engineers and researchers in an easy-to-understand manner for EC business companies and EC vendors, supports the development and realization of new products, and publishes papers based on data for papers.
*Membership requires approval from a standing director.
KPI Members must commercialize at least one product per year.
Corporate Supporting Member
Members who sympathize with the Society's aims and can have up to five employees from their company participate in research meetings and events, and can enjoy priority job interviews for Society members and advertising in the Society's journals. KPI members publish research results at least once a year.
